Everyday Video Series

The Everyday video series is a chance to explore real-life situations many teens face, and how to deal with them as dearly loved children of God.  Some are meant to make you think.  Others are meant to clearly show you the way.  All of them, God-willing, will draw you into a closer, deeper relationship with your Savior, Jesus.  That’s what He wants everyday.  That’s what we need everyday.  By the power of the Spirit, that’s what we seek everyday.streams.wels.net/video/

Youth Rally / Mission Trip Schedule

Follow the Path, Lead the Way” has been selected as the 2009 WELS International Youth Rally theme.  The theme is based on 1 Timothy 4:12, “Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.”  The location will be Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa (www.iastate.edu) and the dates are Wednesday-Saturday, July 8-11.

Transportation Update!

A generous offer has been made by our brothers and sisters at Lincoln Heights Lutheran Church, Des Moines, IA.  Please consider their offer for transportation and housing as you make your travel plans to/from the 2009 WELS International Youth Rally.
My name is Paul Menzel and I'm a member of Lincoln Heights Lutheran Church in Des Moines.
Our church is located one mile from the Des Moines airport (the church is directly under the Northeast runway approach).  We have a 15 passenger van and a handful of drivers that would be available to transport groups to and from Ames FREE!  It's about a 45 minute drive.
Should any group need housing the night before the rally or the night after the rally, Lincoln Heights Lutheran Church in Des Moines is making preparations should the need arise.  We have seven families who have committed to housing participants.  Also the church basement is available if groups get to be really big.  We even have additional money set aside for food and entertainment.
To make arrangements, please Contact Pastor Andrew or Shelly Fix at 515-326-4237 or
